This dyno shows the TTE550 turbo’s on a B5 RS4 versus baseline data on the same RS4 with the RS4 K04 turbo’s.
TTE550 vs Stock RS4 Turbo’s
I find these results very encouraging as I look for a turbo that is similar to K04’s in low end torque and able to take full advantage of the stock S4 motor limits.
The scaling and units make interpreting the chart a bit challenging for me being accustomed to U.S. units at the wheels, but the curves showing similar low end response and significant delta that the 550’s put down over K04’s are unmistakable.
In order to have something to compare with so I can see if the pre-turbocharger water/methanol injection has any affect on the conditions exiting the turbocharger I recorded some information without w/m being injected.
Compressor Outlet Temperature Baseline (No W/M Injecting) Data
There are two measurements shown, boost pressure and temperature at the outlet of the compressor housing. Data was recorded in third gear and fourth gear, with two samples made in each gear.

Picking up from yesterday, I installed the 0.4mm nozzle jet along with a right angle adapter so that the supply line can run out below the y-pipe more easily.
The adapter swivels so that as the supply line is moved there is no stress being placed on the nozzle portion that is mounted into the plastic y-pipe.
I also added an inline check valve to the line so that fluid from the supply line is not siphoned into the y-pipe from the vacuum. This should help with system response time, so that soon after activating the pump the water/methanol should be spraying into the y-pipe, rather than first refilling the supply line where liquid has been siphoned off.
One final op check to make sure the system was running as intended before completing the installation on the car.

With that complete the system has now been installed and the car started to make sure it runs ok with the new nozzle.
