Driveshaft Shop One piece driveshaft problems

The refurb OEM 2 piece driveshaft was successful at eliminating the speed related vibration my car was experiencing.  So it would seem that mine was one of the cases where a single piece driveshaft caused an unwelcome vibration in the car.  Obviously spending the premium on a single piece driveshaft only to have to go and buy an OEM 2 piece style to remedy a problem caused by the 1 piece is not something I enjoy doing.  The annoyance was further compounded by my need to have the swap done at a shop, thus paying for the labor time, increasing the total wasted money on trying a single piece driveshaft.

The way I see it, there are a mixed bag of reviews floating around about the success of using a single piece driveshaft, some cars seem to be fine, others experience a vibration.  Given the cost premium and potential for problem I would never recommend a person purchase a single piece driveshaft for use on their S4 if they have the option of going with the tried and true OEM 2 piece unit.

At this point I’m not sure what will happen with this Driveshaft Shop one piece driveshaft.  I expect it will be sent back to the driveshaft shop for evaluation.  If it is determined that this driveshaft has a defect that could alter my opinion of the single piece.  If and when the driveshaft I have is analyzed I’ll post the results as an update.
