Audi B5 S4 Hall of Fame

The Audi B5 S4 Hall of Fame is an effort to recognize the businesses and people who have been part of the B5 S4 community and have affected other community members in a notable way.

Whether developing a product, service, resource, or been willing to lend a hand, many businesses and people have had an influence on the wider B5 S4 community. The Hall of Fame will serve to acknowledge and honor their contributions.

The nomination phase will run about ten days, until January 20, 2016. Immediately thereafter voting will begin.

Nominees will be published below along with justification. Justifications will be edited to avoid duplication and for clarity.

I need to manually move responses from the Survey to this page – bogus inputs will be discarded.

I will add a Hall of “Shame” in the future to recognize contributors who have NOT helped the B5 S4 community.

Created an Excel based data manipulation and display tool for online sharing of vehicle performance data generated by ECU Explorer - the MarkP template. It also incorporated an automatic FATS time calculator.

Author of one of the first Audi B5 S4 engine pull Do-It-Yourself (DIY) articles. A thorough step-by-step guide for the procedures needed to allow for a turbocharger upgrade.

Instrumental in making the information contained on the Nefmoto site understandable to the average owner. Personally helped many owners with tuning the software on their S4's.

Creator of JETs A4 Pages, a website that he evolved into Audiworld, one of the most significant online forums for B5 S4 owners during the first decade of the cars existence.

A business that has continued introducing new products for the B5 S4 long after other vendors had abandoned the product line.

Shares his knowledge with anyone (even the noobs) seeking help in a clear detailed way so they understand while learning something new.

Don Pavlik was testing aftermarket products for the B5 S4 as soon as the car arrived, publishing his findings on Audiworld. His reports helped new owners decide what upgrades to make on their cars.

Practically builds these cars for free, always offering to help with parts and builds as well as advice on the forum. Stand up guy, only person I would trust with my car other than myself.

Nye advanced the MarkP template to become ECUxPlot, another community standard application for sharing performance data. He is a key member of the Nefmoto tuning forum and developed the ME7Sum software for checksum checking and manages updates to the S4 Tuning Wiki.

Every car he touches is gold.

His spreading of his knowledge in the driveline area of our vehicles has helped many of us understand and modify accordingly. Not to mention his quality of work at a better price than most!

Tuning and all around support.

Hah. Pretty cool guy that seemed to get what the b5 was about.

Pioneered a lot of power adder options on his dyno. Has developed awesome tunes and started a whole new level of bolt-on horsepower in the group.

Justin has given the community some awesome and very detailed DIY videos for the community.

At the forefront of performance advancement and product development when the B5 S4 was introduced. ECU Explorer put robust data logging capabilities into the hands of owners.

Tony Chick took B5 S4 tuning to a new level, advancing the platform and making custom tuning a more common reality.

Developed game changing side mount intercoolers that delivered top level performance at a fraction of the cost of the competition.

Ushered in the era of lower cost K04 alternatives with the introduction of the F4H-BT.

Had you not donated your car to APR for testing purposes all of the APR kit cars would still be stuck in the ~420chp release levels.
